A CUMBRIAN poet and novelist is coming soon to Ulverston for a special author event.

Katie Hale will be coming to Ulverston Library based on Kings Road on Thursday June 13 at 7pm.

A spokesperson from the library said: "Join us for an evening with Cumbrian Poet and novelist Katie Hale, who will be talking about her new novel, My Name is Monster.

"Inspired by Robinson Crusoe and Frankenstein, My name is Monster is a novel about power, about isolation and female relationships."

Joanne Harris, author of Chocolat described the novel as “a terrific piece of writing; tough and tender and insightful. Love it.”
