LUCKY South Lakeland dancers received the opportunity of a life time after they were invited to perform in London’s West End at the iconic theatre, Her Majesties Theatre.
The Dance Atikk School, from Kendal, took part in the fantastic showcase, where only ten schools were chosen, at the home of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s acclaimed musical, ‘The Phantom of the Opera’.
The dancers, aged from 6 to 19, took to the stage to perform two unique dance routines. Their first number was a dark twisted tale of Alice in Wonderland with a street jazz vibe style followed by a vibrant upbeat high kicking dance routine.
Lucy Everett, Principal of Dance Atikk school ,said: “This has been such a fantastic opportunity for my dancers. I’m so proud of all of them.”
