- They trailed 30-16 and looked out of it but Lachlan Coote's hat-trick and Tommy Makinson's second got them within one score.
- And with less than two minutes remaining James Bentley plunged over for the winner..
- Saints had got off to a flyer with two from Coote and another from Makinson giving them a 16-0 lead.
- But 30 unanswered points from the visitors followed with Gil Dudson followed over the line by Niall Evalds, twice, Derrell Olpherts and Rob Lui.
- All looked lost, but Saints found a way to break the Salford hearts again.
