TENS of thousands of pounds has been raised for a North-East charity with an exciting event featuring live entertainment.
More than 1,300 women attended Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Sedgefield, on Saturday to support The Angel Trust.
Organised by the charity’s chief executive Clair McGregor, along with the charity’s board of trustees, ambassadors and volunteers, the event raised much-needed funds to help good causes in County Durham.
Guests were entertained by host Tess Tickle and The Dragettes, X-factor singers Paul Akister and Jenny Ball, Westlife and Vengaboys tribute acts with swing music from James Argent, who found fame in The Only Way is Essex.
Reality television star Scarlett Moffatt, an ambassador for the charity, told The Northern Echo: “It has been a euphoric first year and we have exceeded every expectation.
“Today has been yet another amazing milestone of our amazing fundraising calendar to help so many people across out community.”
