A NEW shopfront is planned for the newsagents at 75 Highgate, Kendal.
The applicant, Saif Ahmed, also hopes to convert the first, second and attic floors above Highgate News into two flats - a two-bed and a three-bed.
Plans for the Grade II-listed property have been put before South Lakeland District Council.
In planning documents, the existing shopfront is described as "somewhat dated", worn and partly rotten.
