OXFORDSHIRE’S Alfie Barbeary starts on the bench as England bid to make a winning start to the World U20 Championship tomorrow.
The Wasps hooker, who has just finished his A Levels at Bloxham School, is among the 13 replacements for the Pool B opener against Ireland at the Club De Rugby Ateneo Inmaculada in Santa Fe, Argentina, which kicks-off at 7.30pm BST.
Australia and Italy are also in England’s group.
They face the Azzurri on Saturday, June 8 and the Wallabies on Wednesday, June 12.
