Police appeal for witnesses following road traffic collision in Ambleside
POLICE are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
The incident happened at 3.44pm on Friday on Lake Road, near Hayes Garden Centre, Ambleside.
Officers say a 72-year-old woman, from Huddersfield, received serious injuries and is in a critical but stable condition after being taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The 71-year old male, from Northampton, is helping police with their enquiries.
