A FLOCK of Herdwick sheep which graze on farmland once belonging to children's author and illustrator Beatrix Potter are at the centre of a dog attack.
Tenant farmer John Watson, who farms part of Yew Tree Farm at Hawkshead, is appealing to tourists to keep their dogs on a lead and to close gates after his flock was attacked at Tarn Hows and a young Herdwick killed.
