MEDIUM and large scale employers are being urged to change their rules to allow paid leave for carers.
Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron pointed out that the work of carers saves the taxpayer around £50 billion per year.
He said this was therefore an excellent investment and he has written to Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock to urge him to table new legislation which would facilitate paid leave for carers.
