A CHARITY which helps vulnerable people young and old to live independently is looking for "enthusiastic" new trustees.
The Kendal-based Oaklea Trust hopes to attract volunteers with "an inquiring mind" and skills and interests such as teaching, raising money for good causes, finance, employment law, project management and data security.

The Oaklea Trust is developing plans to turn the former, flood-hit Appleby care home Edenside into 18 apartments. Plans look set to be submitted to Eden District Council in July.
