ONE hundred and seventy-six walkers climbed Scafell Pike in a Three Peaks challenge for The Railway Children, a charity that helps vulnerable youngsters living on the streets in India, East Africa and the UK.
Among the party was David Taylor, of York, who completed his 13th Three Peaks.
The walkers travelled by rail between Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike, including on La'al Ratty, on the Ravenglass and Eskdale line.
The National Trust said the charity team also donated money towards footpath repair.
