BOOTHS has announced plans to install scores of electric car chargers at its supermarket sites across the North West.

The company is working with InstaVolt to install the chargers and the first four went 'live' at its Kirkby Lonsdale store this week with a further 38 due to be switched on.

InstaVolt is one of the UK’s leading providers of rapid electric car chargers. All of its charging stations are available for electric vehicle drivers to use on a pay-as-you-go basis with no subscription, card or membership needed.

Drivers simply tap in their contactless credit or debit card to pay.

Chargers have also been installed at stores in Ulverston, Windermere and Carnforth with Booth's Kendal store set to get chargers in the near future.further are already installed at locations including:
