A DRY Stone Walling Association will be hosting its first competition this weekend.
The newly formed Ellwood Branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association, named after South Lakes walling champion Ted Ellwood, is putting on its first event this year.
On Saturday, starting from 9am at Storth End Farm, Stainton, a number of dry stone walling competitions will take place.
From open, veteran to amateur, each contest caters towards an individual's skill set.
Prizes for the winners include cash, boots donated by premium shoe company Lowa, family day trips to both Jimmy Doherty's and Adam Henson's farms.
It doesn't cost to enter and entries can still apply to compete by emailing Luke Powell on powell.luke@hotmail.co.uk or by calling him on 07783915770.
A barbecue will also be held after the competition.
