KENDAL'S New Road will play host to seven hours of live music on Sunday, as part of Armed Forces and Blue Light Services Tribute Day.
Master of ceremonies John Osborne, who will himself be performing, said that the free-to-attend show will feature "the very best of the Cumbrian music and indie scene."
He added: "It's just a brilliant line-up of really superb artists. Loads have been on BBC Introducing."
It will feature music from Pete Lashley; Ava Grace; Mike Turnbull; Anne-Marie Sanderson; Holly Lovelady; and Melanie Baker. Paper Cranes are headlining.
There will be plenty of other things to see and do at the Tribute Day, with vintage vehicles on display, refreshments available, and inflatables set-up for the children.
The New Road show, which a meeting of Kendal BID heard would serve as a test to see if music in the town can work, will run from 12pm to 7pm. A large stage will be set up for the purpose.
