William, who is in year five from St Patrick's Church of England Primary School, in Endmoor, was prized with the match ball following the County Championship cricket match held at Sedbergh School.
Along with William, a number of cricket enthusiasts from the school were also invited to the attend the Lancashire v Durham match on July 3 .
Headteacher Suzanne Edmondson said the pupils were also delighted to have been asked to form part of the Guard of Honour for the players.
