A 23 year-old from Kendal was recognised by the Royal Television Society at a ceremony in London.
JP Pezet, who now works in the television industry in Glasgow, was rewarded for her contribution to ‘What Separates us From the Beasts’.
The short film, which she and fellow students produced during her time studying at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, sees a little girl’s father turn into a “majestic beast” after being diagnosed with cancer.
Miss Pezet won the award for ‘Sound’ in the ‘Undergraduate Craft Skills’ category, at the Royal Television Society Student Television Awards 2019.
She thanked her mother, Hilary Pezet, who teaches at Kendal College, for “being a constant motivation and inspiration.”
