FIREFIGHTERS from Kendal and Ambleside were called to a report of a grass fire on Bell Isle Island, in Windermere.
Crews were at the scene for around one hour on Friday, July 12.
They used Scotty bags and specialist wild fire equipment to extinguish the blaze.
