One of the region's largest rural estate agents has announced a promotion.

H&H Land and Property has promoted associate and chartered surveyor Mark Barrow to the role of head of land agency for the South Lakes.

Mark will be based in the company’s Kendal office.

Born and brought up on his family’s farm near Appleby, Mark has a lifetime’s experience and knowledge of Cumbria’s rural sectors.

Mark graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an Honours Degree in Environment and Land Management, before gaining a Postgraduate Distinction in Surveying from the College of Estate Management and being awarded the Alistair Turnbull prize for the highest marks in the Northumbria and Cumbria branch of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers fellowship exams.

He joined H&H almost 10 years ago as an environmental advisor.

Mark said: “Our Kendal office base allows me to serve clients in my home area of Appleby and Kirkby Stephen whilst also servicing the southern Lake District and Lancashire."

H&H is one of the largest firms of independent rural property advisors operating across the North of England and Scottish Borders.
