Sands Centre bosses have confirmed that the Madness concert planned for Bitts Park will now take place at The Sands Centre.

A statement from the venue said: "Due to circumstances beyond the control of the artist and promoter, this show can no longer take place at Bitts Park Carlisle.

"We are pleased to announce an alternative venue has been arranged and the show will now take place nearby at The Sands Centre."

All tickets remain valid and the line up remains the same.

The Bootleg Beatles, Chris Difford, Cattle & Cane and Hardwicke Circus will be supporting the band on July 21.

It is the second time a change has been made to the show, after it was originally scheduled to take place on June 9. The announcement to delay the gig was made in April.

An email was sent out by Ticketline to those who had purchased tickets.

It said: "Due to circumstances beyond the control of the artist and promoter, Madness live from Bitts Park will now take place on Sunday, July 21, 2019.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and if anyone cannot make the rescheduled date, tickets can be refunded from point of purchase. All other tickets remain valid."

The band are said to be looking forward to the show and only a handful of tickets remain available from Ticketline at http://bit.ly/Madness-Carlisle.
