AFTER 143 years worshippers at Kirkby Stephen Evangelical Church are on the move.
The Christian fellowship's long-established home is the Gospel Hall at Mellbecks, Kirkby Stephen.
However, the church is to relocate to the former Congregational Chapel on Market Street, which has been a retail emporium and coffee shop for some years.
Plans have been submitted to Eden District Council to convert the Gospel Hall into a three-bedroom house. The church's meeting room was originally two cottages.
