The old photograph
The photograph (Reference number 2002.8.0361) in the May 30 edition of The Westmorland Gazette is of George Fleming and his daughter Elizabeth of Yewdale Bridge, Coniston.
These quintuplets lambs were born in March 1963 to a ten-year old half-bred ewe which the previous year gave birth to quadruplets.
