OBSERVING the overall scenario of world affairs at this moment in time, I believe the Brexit issue might well be overtaken by events evolving in the Middle East, Russia and China.

As has happened in the past, the free world may once again have to come together in unity, putting aside current areas of dispute which will suddenly seem far less urgent.

In fact, we may be tested as never before, bringing about a change in priorities in which Brexit is rightly put on the back burner.

Now is a time for democratic nations to be vigilant and act collaboratively with determination if and when circumstances dictate.
