MOUNTAIN rescuers responded to shouts for help from an injured walker.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team volunteers were called to the Red Gill area of Scafell at 6pm on Saturday.
It later turned out a walker had taken a short tumble somewhere near Lord’s Rake, then managed to drag themselves down to Hollowstones where they were found by a passing group.
Once on scene the walker's injuries were assessed, then splinted.
Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team also attended and brought their stretcher and other equipment. The casualty was packaged then carried down to Brackenclose.
