AS THE Great British Bake Off returns to screens next week, Grasmere hotel Tweedies Bar and Lodge is inviting bakers to take part in its own charity baking competition.
Holidaymakers and residents alike are invited to enter their cakes, biscuits and pastries for judging on Bank Holiday Monday (August 26).
The panel will be led by Tweedies' head chef James Goodall, who trained under Raymond Blanc. Entrants will be invited to complete three challenges: signature bake, technical challenge and showstopper.
Bakes will be auctioned at the end of the day to raise money for the Parkinson's UK charity, in honour of Tweedies' co-owner Brian Roberts, who has the condition.
If you would like to take part, send an email to Laura Goodall on laura@tweediesgrasmere.com
