She also helps to run the police cadets in her own time and is passionate about helping young people and challenging their energies into making the best use of their time.

KENDAL Fellwalkers A group enjoyed some moments of sunshine between the heavy showers on Sunday's route from the Duddon valley. Their circuit included the summits of Grey Friar, Great Carrs, Cold Pike, Hard Knott and Harter Fell. The B group's walk from Cow Bridge was enhanced by a profusion of vibrant rainbows and there were good views on their way up the unfrequented valley of Deepdale to reach the ridge at Deepdale Hause. The route followed the ridges to Dove Crag and Red Screes before dropping down over Middle Dodd to Brother's Water. In Yorkshire, the C group used the train to take them from Kirkby Stephen to Garsdale. They then walked back over Swarth Fell, Wild Boar Fell and Little Fell.
