A FIRE escape is being planned for Ulverston town centre pub The Hope and Anchor.
Brewery Frederic Robinson is seeking planning consent for a black powder-coated steel stairway at the back of the 18th century inn on Daltongate.
A fixed, mock-sash window is also to be replaced by a fire escape window, according to plans submitted to South Lakeland District Council, to improve safety for the pub's tenants.
