I WONDER how local supporters and enthusiasts of awarding World Heritage Site status to the Lake District now feel when they find their drives blocked by visitors' cars; illegal parking on yellow lines; and tourists wandering up private drives, taking photographs and generally having no regard for people who live there.
On one of our regular walks around Ambleside last week, we were aghast to see parents filming their two children gleefully chasing and harassing sheep.
