VOLUNTEERS from Kendal Child Contact Centre received a cheque for £200 from Sandi Shadbolt from Kendal’s Asda’s store.
The centre had taken part in the ‘green token scheme’ at the supermarket, where shoppers vote with the green tokens that are picked up at the checkouts.
The contact centre provides a safe, neutral setting for children of separated families to spend quality time with the one or both parents.
It is held at Stricklandgate Methodist Church in the town every other Saturday afternoon.
It is a free service which can be accessed by referral.
To learn more about this service then contact Chris Garner on 07791139338.
The money will be spent on providing new toys for the children who use the centre.
