More than £5 million is being spent by Highways England on the M6 in Cumbria.
A £1.3m month-long project will resurface parts of the northbound carriageway between junction 34 and Burton services south of junction 36 while another £1.3m project will install new barriers in the central reservation between junction 36 for Kirkby Lonsdale and junction 38 at Tebay.
A £1.5m scheme to resurface sections of the southbound carriageway between junction 40 and junction 38 will start on Monday October 7 and last for five weeks.
