WORK is set to begin a new McDonald’s restaurant and drive-thru in Ulverston.
South Lakeland District Council’s planning committee approved the proposal for the restaurant to be built by the Booth’s supermarket at Oubas Hill in the town.
It is expected to create at least 30 full time and 20 part time jobs.
Development work, which will see the removal of the recycling facilities at Booths, is set to start on Monday.
Previously bosses said they hoped work will be finished by mid-2020.
The majority of items recycled at the site can also be recycled in your blue boxes and bins.
