A 67-year-old man died following a fall on Pen-y-ghent in the Yorkshire Dales.
He fell on the rock bands close to the summit of the mountain on Wednesday (September 18) of last week.
The Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) was called at around 7.20am to assist the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Attempts to revive the unconscious casualty were unsuccessful.
CRO team members used ropes to lower the casualty in a stretcher to a place where the air ambulance could land. He was then flown down to Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
