FOLLOWING the delivery of a news sheet from the Liberal Democrats to my door, I wish to respond to the headline "Stop Brexit".

In my annoyance at this blatant denial of the nation's vote, I wish to comment that while Tim Farron has been a good MP for this constituency, he does not appear to be good for democracy!

Along with the majority of this county, and after careful consideration, I voted to leave the EU in June 2016. I expected those MPs who have been entrusted with serving this nation to work together to fulfil this result and make the break.

Instead, some MPs seem to think they are free to ignore democracy and are making a mockery of British justice.

Have we really forgotten Britain's hard-won democratic governance which has been the envy and example of the world?
