THE Buddhist Group of Kendal was delighted to welcome a Buddhist monk who lives in a forest in Sri Lanka.
The Venerable Mahalova Ariyadhamma led a study and meditation day in the town.
Forest monks are highly venerated in the South Asian island country, leading lives of meditation and purity, said Jacquetta Gomes, secretary of the Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada).
