TWO products made by a South Lakes company were recognised in the Craft Distilling Expo’s ‘Gin of the Year’ competition.
Competing products were initially sampled neat, with the top scorers moving on to a second round where they were tasted with Fever-Tree tonic water.
And the Shed 1 Distillery, Ulverston, was awarded ‘highly commended’ status for its ‘Cuckold’s Revenge’ and ‘Giggle in the Ginnel’ gins.
Regarding the Giggle in the Ginnel, Andy Arnold-Bennett, of Shed 1 Distillery, said: “It is a true gin, but we know it pushes the boundaries due to the complex flavour profile.”
