A MAN has been told to pay more than £1,000 after speeding on a boat on Windermere.
David Webster changed his plea from not guilty to guilty when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Barrow.
The 45-year-old was caught travelling above the lake's 10 knots limit on April 21this year.
Webster, of Mafeking Avenue, Bury, was told to pay costs of £1,000 as well as a £400 fine and a £40 victim surcharge.
He was driving Ski Nautique 196 on High Wray Bay, the court was told.
