A PIONEERING special needs school and children’s home, located in the beautiful Lake District countryside, is hiring dedicated workers who share its goal of helping people become ‘the best they can be’.

Underley Garden, located just outside the historic market town of Kikby Lonsdale near Kendal, has announced it is seeking to fill three new positions:  Residential Care Worker, Adult Support Worker, and Adult Night Support Worker.

The independent school specialises in education, care, and therapy for young people – aged five to nineteen – with autistic spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, complex behaviours, anxiety, and mental health needs.

Now, staff are looking to take on new colleagues who share their commitment to improving the lives of young people, who are patient and resilient, and who are motivated by helping others.

As part of Acorn Care and Education, the largest combined children’s services group in the UK, working for Underley Garden represents a rewarding opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a career in care.

Because none of the roles require prior experience in the care sector, it is also a perfect chance for anyone interested in teaching or in the care industry.

As well as giving successful applicants the chance to enrich the lives of young people and make a positive difference, Underley Garden also offers:

  • Continuous professional development and training
  • Funded Level 3 qualification.
  • Internal promotion opportunities

  • Use of a Windermere campsite
  • Employee of the Month
