RESIDENTS are being encouraged to speak up and report incidents or hotspots where dog fouling is at its worst.
Enforcement officers are being put in place to frequent parts of Kendal to catch those who are not picking up after their pet in the act..
Members of the Sandylands Residents’ Association, along with Cllr Eamonn Hennessy, have been distributing leaflets to all houses on Sandylands, reminding dog owners of their responsibilities.
Offenders could be fined up to £1,000. Contact enforcement@southlakeland.gov.uk if you know of any hotspots in the area.
