A GOOD question: What about Arnside? (Letters, October 3, 'What about Arnside?').
I regularly use the 9.33am 552 bus service from Arnside.
The passengers, either because of health, age or philosophy, have decided not to drive.
The atmosphere is always one of conviviality.
As is well known, isolation is rampant in our senior age group.
The 552 Arnside to Kendal service provides an excellent antidote.
I do hope Stagecoach will rescind its decision to abandon Arnside.
