POLICE have urged drivers to allow extra time for their journeys ahead of an abnormal load travelling through Cumbria toda (Wednesday).
Officers say the vehicle will head along the M6 from Southwaite services near Carlisle, before turning off at Penrith and venturing down the A66.
It will then join the A1 at Scotch Corner.
The vehicle will travel from west to east between 10am and 2pm today.
