Westmorland Gazette reader Gillian Williams has sent in this intriguing old photograph and wonders if anyone can tell her more about it.
Gillian, who lives at Northwich, said: "I found this photograph when going through my parents' stuff. My dad's parents both came from the Lake District and my granny's family were originally from Little Strickland, just south of Penrith, before they moved to Ullswater.
"Her name was Nancy Fothergill. My grandpa's family was from Pooley Bridge and his name was William Parker.
"I think he's in the photograph, so that would potentially put the date between the two World Wars. On the back of the picture it says it was taken in Little Strickland."
If anyone has any further details about the photograph - or if you have an old photograph you would like to share with readers - please email Westmorland Gazette Editor Andrew Thomas on andrew.thomas@kendal.newsquest.co.uk
