Men arrested after being stopped in car containing £5,100 worth of drugs on A1 northbound
OFFICERS arrested two Eden men after stopping a vehicle which allegedly contained class B drugs with a street value of £5,100.
Police say the vehicle was stopped near to junction 48 of the A1 northbound last Friday.
Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Turnbull-Allen, of Westgarth Court, Kirkby Stephen was the driver of the vehicle.
He has been been charged in connection with possession of a class B substance with intent to supply. He is to attend York Crown Court next month.
A 19-year-old man, the passenger in the car, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B substance with intent to supply. He was released under investigation.
