TWO Men in Sheds groups, which aim to improve men’s health and wellbeing through hands-on activities such as woodwork, rescued a bench outside Crook Village Hall.
A new plaque was commissioned from Coopers Engraving at Staveley Mill Yard, while the oak planks were provided by Andy Bell, a joiner from Crook.
The project was instigated by the Village Hall committee and Crook Women's Institute.
Men in Sheds has been sponsored by Age UK South Lakeland for 10 years.
There is now a Ladies in Sheds, and anyone interested in getting involved should contact Age UK on Finkle Street in Kendal.
