SHERLOCK Holmes' most infamous case the Hound of the Baskerville, performed by Northern Stage, is showing at The Dukes, Lancaster, until Saturday (November 9, 7.45pm), with a Saturday matinee 2pm. Charles Baskerville is dead and a terrifying beast is rumoured to stalk the moors around the remote mansion. When Holmes sends Dr Watson to investigate, Watson finds himself surrounded by dense fog and a community steeped in folklore, where the line between reality and myth is no longer clear.

ONLY Fools and Boycie - Enjoy an Intimate Evening with John Challis, one of the nation's greatest comedy actors, tonight (Thursday, 7.30pm) at The Platform, Morecambe. Best known as Boyce in BBC's Only Fools and Horses, this one-off show will see the actor revealing secrets from the set with stories and anecdotes from his distinguished career. He will also meet fans after the show to sign autographs and pose for photos.
