A FORMER Kendal church whose typical Sunday congregation was "around ten people" could be converted into two flats.
Applicant Stefan Wilson, of London, is seeking planning consent for changes to the former Christadelphian Church at Tanners' Yard, off Highgate. Plans have been submitted to South Lakeland District Council for a pair of two-bedroom flats in the two-storey stone-built property, which housed the church for 29 years, and was a bakery before that.
According to planning documents, the property was put up for sale because it was "underused" as a place of worship, and was bought by Mr Wilson.
