What a delightful letter (October 17, 'Schoolboys' escapade') about three 14-year-old boys - Michael Brown, Philip Rockliffe and Simon Entwistle - going through Hincaster Tunnel in 1971. The spirit of adventure is not lost.
When Colin Ogden and Keith Tassart (Dsc) went through they were castigated by the elite that have taken over many of our institutions these days. So it is so refreshing to hear of others that will push the boundaries of adventure.
The account of the hawser ropes going to dust when touched is also very interesting, as the water level must have been higher in those days.
