Mountain rescuers were called to assist two walkers at the top of Helvellyn.
On Saturday night Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called to the summit of the fell in the Lake District to help two walkers.
A spokesman for the team said: "It was dark and the high fells were in full winter condition. We found then escorted the two walkers to safety.

"Remember to please take plenty of warm clothes, a head torch, waterproofs, map and compass plus crampons and an ice axe. All of these items are essential."
The rescue lasted about four-and-a-half hours.
