STAFF at Kendal's Westmorland Shopping Centre lent their support to Purple Tuesday, a day to raise awareness of the needs of shoppers with disabilities.
Nick Pitt, the centre's manager, said the venue had done all it could to make the shopping experience "the best it can be", adding: "We offer disabled toilet facilities, baby changing facilities, access to lifts and promote the Kendal and South Lakes Shopmobility scheme which is located on level three of the car park.”
"We will continue to support shoppers with disabilities throughout the year and ensure sustainable changes are made.”
Purple Tuesday 2019, which took place on Tuesday, November 12, is promoted by the disability organisation Purple.
