POPULAR Kendal real ale pub The Factory Tap is to host a street food event to raise money for two local good causes.

Lake District freelance chef Martin Frickel and the People's Cafe, Kendal, will be helping to stage "Burstin' Burritos" at the Aynam Road bar on Friday, November 29, from 5pm to 9pm; and on Saturday, November 30, from 3pm to 9pm.

Saturday afternoon will also feature a repairs workshop and stall from 3pm to 5pm.

On the menu will be burritos and chunks of bread fried in Indian spices, with a choice of fillings such as bean chilli, crispy bravas potatoes, kimchi slaw, pumpkin falafel, miso mushrooms, minty cucumber yoghurt, roasted vegetables or vegan/dairy cheeses.

The suggested minimum donation is £6.50.

All funds raised will be given to Space2Create, the Kendal charity that helps adults overcome physical and mental health difficulties through creative activities; and Growing Well, the mental health and horticulture charity based at Low Sizergh Farm, near Kendal.
