PUPILS from Grasmere School took to the stage at the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, to perform ‘A Midwinter Night’s Dream’ - the famous Shakespeare play, aptly renamed to fit the time of the year.
The comedy, written in the late-16th century, follows the entanglements of four young lovers and the actions of fairies who inhabit an enchanted forest.
Head teacher Jo Goode said the children had learnt a lot about themselves, gaining “courage and confidence” and experiencing “problem solving and teamwork in a real and powerful way.”
