A 72-year-old woman was stretchered off a Lake District fell after slipping and injuring her ankle.
She was walking on Beda Fell, to the south of Ullswater, when the incident on Tuesday occurred.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called and the woman, from the Gloucestershire area, was treated at the scene by a team doctor before being lowered off the fell.
The rescue involved 13 team members and took a total of four hours.
